HOW-TO / 04.02.13 / tywill1

Do you have a media card in your BlackBerry 10 smartphone? If so, USB Mass Storage Mode is a useful feature you should know about. Simply put, USB Mass Storage Mode turns the media card in your smartphone into a USB thumb drive.

For example, my parents’ car stereo has a USB connection, so to play some tunes stored on my smartphone all I need to do is turn on USB Mass Storage Mode, plug my BlackBerry Z10 into the car stereo and pick my favorite album.

Provided you have a media card in your smartphone, to enable USB Mass Storage Mode complete the following steps:

  1. Tap Settings
  2. Tap Storage and Access
  3. Turn on USB Mass Storage
