Setting Email Signatures On The PRIV and DTEK50

How-To

Here at BlackBerry, we’re all about making life simple.

Something that helps make all of our lives a little bit easier is adding or customizing your email signature on your BlackBerry PRIV or DTEK50.

What Is It?

What’s an email signature you might ask?

For those who don’t know, an email signature is a few short lines at the end of an email that could include your name, job title and/or contact information.

Why Add an Email Signature?

This personalized boilerplate adds some spice to an otherwise plain looking sign off.

It also helps you save time when writing the email, as signatures are automatic and will be applied to every email you write.

If you need more proof as to why adding a personalized email signature is a good idea, take a look at the following email thread between Jon and Steve:

email_sig_01     email_sig_02

As we can see, Steve is clearly having a better time than Jon, thanks in no small part to his delightful email signature. It is the email sign off version of an epic mic drop😉

How Do I Add An Email Signature?

From your home screen, select the BlackBerry Hub application.

For those who are looking to add a signature to a BES account, select the Hub for Work application in the Applications menu.

In the top left corner, tap on the vaca_clock Options icon that has three straight horizontal lines.

Tap priv_guest_gear Settings followed by tapping on the email address that you want to set up with a signature.

Tap Signature and write until your heart is content, when finished tap Ok.

To learn more about the PRIV or DTEK50 by BlackBerry, or to troubleshoot an issue, there are several great options available. Visit the PRIV support page, or the DTEK50 support site for access to product documentation, how-to demos, tips and tricks, YouTube videos, support forums, knowledge base articles, Twitter support, and contact information for your region
