How to perform bulk email management using PRIV, or the DTEK50

Tips & Tricks

Is your inbox full of messages? Need to do some clean-up work?

Rather than spend precious time going through and selecting each message to delete individually, BlackBerry Hub on PRIV and DTEK50 provides great options for managing your messages in bulk: Mark Prior Read, which will mark multiple items as read, and Delete Prior, which will remove a group of messages.

Did you know that PRIV & the DTEK50 come with 12 months of free, complimentary support?
PRIV: Call 1-866-533-8067 (Canada\USA), or 0800-141-3330 (UK)
DTEK50: Call 1-855-556-2522 (Canada\USA), or 0800-141-3330 (UK)!
  1. While viewing the Hub, tap and hold on a date banner
  2. Tap priv_3dotvertical in the top right corner and select one of the following:
    • Mark Prior Read
    • Delete Prior (This option will not delete messages from the server, the messages are removed from the device only regardless of your Hub Delete On setting)
  3. Tap Continue when the confirmation dialog appears

If you don’t want to perform these actions on all the accounts in your Hub, you can also perform them when viewing a single account. For example, if I had 5 email accounts, but only wanted to delete my messages from my personal account, I could select that account so that I only performed these actions to that single account. To view a specific account, tap priv_3dotvertical followed by tapping on the specific account you would like to manage. Then proceed with the steps above.
