How to identify your BlackBerry model and software version

Need to find out which BlackBerry device and BlackBerry Device Software version you are using?

Follow the steps below based on which type of BlackBerry you are currently using.

BlackBerry 10

  1. Tap Settings followed by About
  2. The Model and Software Release fields are displayed

BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0

  1. Tap Settings followed by About
  2. The Model and OS Version fields are displayed

BlackBerry smartphones using BlackBerry 6 OS or BlackBerry 7 OS

  1. Select Options on the home screen (this may appear within a Settings folder depending on your current theme)
  2. Select Device followed by About Device Versions
  3. The first line contains your device model and the third line contains the BlackBerry device software version as per the following screenshot
