How to add a website to your BlackBerry 10 home screen

How-To

If you want fast access to some of your favorite websites on your BlackBerry 10 device, you should consider adding them to your home screen. To do this, open the Browser, go to a website and press the action key followed by tapping Add to Home Screen.

Since we are adding new icons to the home screen, here’s a quick refresher on how to manage icons.

  • Moving Icons – Tap and hold the icon on your home screen until it starts to pulse, then drag it to a new location. When finished, tap any icon to stop pulsing.
  • Deleting Icons – Similar to moving icons, tap and hold the icon until it starts moving, followed by tapping the trashcan icon to delete it. When finished, tap any icon to stop pulsing.
  • Creating Folders – Tap and hold an icon until it starts to pulse followed by dragging the icon on top of another icon you would like to include the same folder. When prompted, enter a folder name. To add more icons to an existing folder, drag them on top of the folder icon. When finished, tap any icon to stop pulsing.

Tip: Depending on how many websites you add to your home screen, consider putting the icons in a specific folder.

On the workspace side of z10, I added a web page to the home page. I want to delete it. I am unable too, as when I hold the icon down, it bounces, but there is no garbage can beside it to allow me to delete it. How?
